This extra effort really made our trip to Boston that much more memorable and fun. Because of the extra time, he was able to slowly climb the stairs and we were able to sit on the back deck of the boat and see it all! We were able to board within the next few minutes, and really appreciated the amount of respect and dignity the ships engineers, staff, and helpers showed the disabled member of our party.
We found one that sounded good for us (historic 90 min tour) and were ready to go! As we walked to our gate to board, the coordinator at the gate noticed someone in our party had a cane and discreetly and respectfully asked if he would like a few extra minutes to board because he had noticed the cane, which was a huge relief to us. The staff at the booth did a great job of explaining the different cruises and where on the boats he would be able to access with ease. So let me start off by saying the staff that runs BHC on the docks and onboard are top notch!Ī member of our party uses a cane and has a pretty difficult time with stairs.
